Windows: How to disable popup “Start planning for Windows 10 end of support”

Windows

Each time I start Windows, it shows me a popup with a message about Windows 10 reaching the end of support. This is extremely annoying and even a bit silly, especially since it recommends that I buy a new laptop with Windows 11, as mine doesn’t have a TPM module. Maybe it makes sense for people who have a couple of Ferraris and yachts, but definitely not in my case. So, I decided to disable this nagware.

Luckily, you don’t have to be a super hacker to do this.

Navigate to

  • C:\Program Files\RUXIM
  • Find and rename file RUXIMIH.exe to something else, eg RUXIMIH.exeDISABLED

The system will say that you need administrator permissions to rename the file, so you need to confirm this.

And that’s all
